Walsh University’s Byers School of Nursing prepares students to provide evidenced-based care at the advanced practice level to impact the health and wellness of patients and families. We are a Catholic university dedicated to educating students to become leaders in service to others. The MSN program admits students year-round either on a full-time or part-time basis. The MSN program offers four MSN tracks. The Nurse Educator (NE) which prepares students for an academic or clinical teaching role and the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) tracks are fully online. Students in the FNP program come to campus twice during the program for an intensives/skills workshops. The Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) programs are offered in a hybrid/online format. Currently, the PMHNP program allows students the option to complete their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree by continuing their studies for approximately 2 ½ semesters. We also offer Post-Master’s certificates for the FNP and NE programs.
